Ci siamo quasi....

Manca ormai davvero pochissimo, la corsa ai regali si fa sempre più frenetica, anche il gelo di questi giorni ci catapulta ancora di più nel fermento dell'attesa di questo Natale. Un Natale che sta prendendo una discreta piega anche per me....mi sto, diciamo, abituando all'idea...ovviamente a piccoli passi...da  com'era agli inizi, vedo già qualche piccolo progresso. Ho voluto addobbare la casa in modo diverso dagli altri anni...niente Albero di Natale...non avevo testa....anche perchè quest'anno partirò per le vacanze a fine anno e tornerò dopo l'Epifania con un mare di lavoro in Ufficio che mi aspetta...quindi non avevo proprio voglia di avere anche da sbrigare l'incombenza, per me sempre un po' "menosa" del disfacimento dell'Albero di Natale...e poi ho Martino che dallo scorso anno ha deciso di buttarlo a terra almeno un paio di volte al giorno...quindi ho cercato di evitarmi anche il problema di doverlo riassemblare un giorno sì e l'altro anche! Ma nonostante ciò non ho voluto rinunciare a dare alla mia casa, quel tocco, anche se molto discreto, di natalizio che ogni casa merita in questo periodo dell'anno. Ho pensato di mettere due ghirlande sugli archi dell'ingresso, di spargere in giro palline di vetro soffiato, e di appendere qualche quadretto in tema. Quello che ne è venuto fuori lo vedete nei collage delle foto sottostanti....

....a me sembra che creino la giusta atmosfera senza strafare...per quest'anno è così...ho bisogno di leggerezza anche negli ambienti che vivo...di cose che mi soffocano e mi tolgono il respiro ne ho già tante...

....quindi andiamo con discrezione almeno su ciò che posso decidere io! 

Anche l'esterno della casa è stato illuminato in una location diversa da quella degli altri anni e con una certa parsimonia...il risultato mi ha molto appagata...ma questo ve lo mostro nel prossimo post, visto che ora è giorno e non si vede nulla. E ora, che dirvi ancora? ....ovviamente per modo di dire...ma in tutta franchezza quando ho visto che erano ben 5 (leggasi cinque ) settimane che non scrivevo nulla, mi è venuto lo scoramento!
Effettivamente, ad essere sincera, non mi sono resa conto che il tempo sia passato così velocemente...anche perchè devo riconoscere che il tempo per annoiarmi durante le mie frenetiche giornate è pressochè inesistente...ma ahimè...è anche inesistente il tempo da dedicare ai miei amati passatempi.
Il blog è praticamente inchiodato, il telaio con il ricamo è in attesa che una pietosa mano si degni di metterci sopra due xxx, il libro iniziato a leggere ormai da mesi ha le pagine che stanno ingiallendo per il tempo che passa!!!! Fortunatamente la situazione sul piano salute si è un po' ridimensionata...mi rendo conto che a poco a poco sto recuperando le energie...anzi a dire il vero...rispetto ai primi di settembre posso dire di essere davvero tornata a galla....ma l'impegno e le responsabilità del mio nuovo lavoro assorbono in toto le mie giornate e le mie energie. Oggi...più per caso che per voglia ho terminato un minimissimo ricamino che posterò poi più avanti...ma da there to ask me to put hours on xxx runs it!

Dopo più di un mese di assenza dovuta, stavolta, non solo ad una scelta lavorativa che mi ha travolta e mi occupa in maniera intensivissima, ma anche ad una bella ricaduta in problematiche di salute dalle quali ero proprio convinta di essere immune....e invece....zac....quando meno te lo aspetti, tornano prepotentemente a colpirti approffittando del fatto che hai smesso di concentrarti su loro possibili attacchi per pensare ad altro, che in quel momento, ritieni assolutamente prioritario rispetto, anche, alla salute.

Comunque, con grande sforzo, oggi pomeriggio,visto che sono a casa dal lavoro, mi sono quasi fatta violenza...e, iniziando dal blog, vorrei cercare, per quanto possibile di riprendermi quegli spazi, se non tutti, almeno in parte, che facevano parte della mia esistenza fino ad un paio di mesi fa. Quanto meno ci provo....se poi non riesco....amen....vorrà dire che questo blog verrà abbandonato temporaneamente...per essere ripreso in tempi meno "problematici" di quello attuale.

 Dopo una breve sosta ci siamo diretti verso Beynac, dove abbiamo deciso di farci un giro sulla Gabarre. Le Gabarre sono imbarcazioni tipiche di questa zona vecchie di secoli. Come vi ho già detto la Dordogna aveva un’importanza fondamentale per la vita delle persone nei secoli scorsi: si pescava, si trasportavano i materiali, si raggiungevano i paesi limitrofi…insomma a real street trading and transport around which the economy of these parts.

9 luglio – Chateau de Fenelon

July 4 - Sarlat la Caneda

Here we are with the first "report" of this most summer holidays. We started the other day at a time of Perigord and having stopped for the night near Clermont Ferrand, nell'Alvernia, yesterday we reached our destination, where we stop for a couple of weeks. all'Alvernia Two words than I absolutely have to spend it: it's beautiful! A landscape of gentle hills and out of sight of mountains of volcanic features of this wonderful piece of France. And we stayed in a room that looked out from a magazine of furniture. Unfortunately I did not have digital at hand because it was buried by the baggage ... but I leave here link per vedere dove noi abbiamo trascorso la notte; noi avevamo la camera Fougere.  Tutta la casa era arredata con mobili recuperati meravigliosamente dai mercatini e davvero l’ambiente nel suo insieme era un incanto.  Ma veniamo al luogo in cui noi trascorriamo la vacanza. Siamo nel Perigord Noir e precisamente a Sainte Nathalene…un piccolo borgo nelle immediate vicinanze di Sarlat la Caneda.  Abbiamo affittato una grande casa indipendente con un giardino immenso e immersa in un bosco…praticamente un latifondo!!!!  

Per dare un 'idea sulla localizzazione geografica della zona a coloro che non lo sapessero, vi dico che è stata teatro del più lungo conflitto della storia: la guerra dei Cent’anni che ha visto contrapposte la Francia e l’Inghilterra e questa zona, o meglio, l’intera Aquitania all’epoca apparteneva agli Inglesi.  Ma la caratteristica di questa zona è che il paesaggio che la contraddistingue è rimasto intatto rispetto ad allora ed è costituito da colline meravigliose coperte di vegetazione molto fitta (da qui il nome di Perigord Noir che si contraddistingue dal Perigord Blanc, ricco di rocche di rocce di calcare che ne caratterizzano il paesaggio) dalle quali si possono intravedere una serie infinita di fortresses, castles and abbeys of the Middle Ages preserved so well. But not Foie Gras is the only specialty in the area ... here is the land of nuts (in fact there are groves of walnut trees as far as the eye) and del tartufo nero…ma si sa…io sono un pochino “smorbia”…ovvero “pretenziosa”…sono nipote di un nonno e di tanti zii “trifolau”…e per me il tartufo è solo quello bianco…anche se devo ammettere di non esserne una grande estimatrice…anzi…mi piace solo sulle uova all’occhio di bue…quindi qui per quanto riguarda i miei gusti culinari per me “non c’è trippa per gatti”.  E ora dopo questa divagazione personale, penso sia giunta l’ora dei saluti.  Domani non so cosa faremo…probabilmente ci dedicheremo alla visita di un paio degli innumerevoli castelli della zona…in ogni caso, a seconda of what will be, I will update my diary.

This particular castle was opened to the public only in 2006 because until then belonged to the town of Bordeaux and it was not possible to visit it. For 50 years it has been home to scientific research and archaeological studies. La cosa che salta subito agli occhi al turista è la posizione in cui venne costruito: praticamente all’interno di una falesia. 

La sua storia risale a 200 secoli fa…sissignori…avete capito bene risale all’epoca preistorica poiché sono state ritrovate tracce riconducibili a quel periodo e nel corso dei secoli è sempre stato popolato e brulicante di vita…fino al Medio Evo, epoca nella quale, si è costruito il castello vero e proprio e che noi oggi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di ammirare.  

Vi sono sale meravigliosamente conservate e arredate che si scoprono man mano che si salgono le scale scavate nella roccia sino al raggiungimento del punto più alto dove si può ammirare addirittura un laboratorio di alchimia. Io personalmente sono rimasta affascinata da questa particolare fortezza sia per l’ubicazione non certo usuale che e soprattutto per lo stato perfetto in cui è conservato.  La visita a questa meraviglia è terminata con un giro nella nuova sala dedicata ai metodi di tortura usati nel Medio Evo. Qui le foto non sono state scattate perché non era permesso…ma vi assicuro che i delinquenti dei giorni nostri sono molto, ma molto fortunati rispetto a quelli di allora!!!!  After this first route, we moved a couple of miles and visited La Roque St. Christophe, an archaeological site which covers a journey of over three hundred meters in the interior of a cliff.
