Within the project "Homage to John Guareschi, Saturday, October 17 the Cultural Association" L'Olmo "sponsored by the City of Corryong in the church of San Francesco is organizing a meeting dedicated to the presentation of school the Comprehensive Manzoni. The meeting aims to present the project to all students and to excite and engage immediately in reading the texts of Guareschi and not just the young school children.
objective of the project, which will run until February 2010 to known to younger generations the vast artistic production Guareschi, known throughout the world both as an artist, journalist, humorist, and especially as a writer with his vast output of writings. Among the aims of the project promoted by the Cultural Association "L'Olmo" to educate the new generations to a more conscious sense of belonging to their community, to make young people aware that you will never grow if you do not know the roots from which it was generated and stimulate curiosity and develop the capacity to investigate and critically, the key to understanding the world.
The project includes the reading of excerpts from the Guareschi classroom for one hour per week and presentation of papers including drawings, cartoons and writings in order to attract young people to read and write. At the end of the project (March 2010) will be organized an exhibition and a school trip to the places of Don Camillo and Peppone.
